Perth Mint Year of the Dragon Ten-Coin Set Released

Perth Mint 2012 Year of the Dragon Ten-Coin Set
Just a short post to mention that the Perth Mint 2012 Year of the Dragon Ten Coin Set will be released in the early hours of tomorrow morning (Update: It is now live on THIS PAGE), FROM 12.01AM 3 APRIL 2012 AWST.

The set is pictured above and I have previously written about the set:

As previously discussed the mintage is only 2,500 sets and the retail price will be AUD $990.

The Perth Mint online website currently has free shipping worldwide for orders over $300, so this set will qualify without any further purchases.

Honson (who writes a Chinese coin and investment blog) posted a comment on my last article about the 10 Coin Set pointing to Kitco's HK site which already has the set listed for only US$920 (roughly AUD $885), so may be worth ordering there if you can get your hands on it.

Otherwise keep your eyes peeled on the Perth Mint Latest Releases page <<CLICK HERE>> to grab it once available. Update: The set is now available right now from <<THIS PAGE>>

Other coins being releases at the Perth Mint at the same time include:

Australian Koala 2012 1kg Silver Proof Coin
Australian Koala 2012 1/10oz Silver Coin
Famous Battles in Australian History – Long Tan 2012 1oz Silver Proof Coin
2012 Mini Roo 0.5g Gold Coin

Any idea yet when the five ounce proof dragon will be coming? I am moderately interested in that one, and was disappointed it did not show up in the latest release schedule.

I was happy to see the high relief kookaburra you mentioned show up, though. Think there's any chance we might see a high relief koala too?

I also thought we might see the 5oz Proof in May, I guess the Perth Mint thought it might be time for a break from Dragons... can't be far away though!

Not sure about a High Relief Koala, haven't heard anything but it's possible... maybe they'll wait to see how the Kook sells.
