My favourite is probably the 1/2oz Silver coin, same as last year, it has the strongest looking animal design.

There have been some changes to last years lineup, there is an additional Silver and Gold coin in the mix. The coloured coin (first pictured above) is new with a mintage of 8,888 coins. In my opinion the 1/10oz Gold coin was the better addition and sports the same image as the 1/2oz Silver coin, adding an affordable entry point for those wanting a Gold lunar coin from the Royal Canadian Mint.

Other changes to this series include that of mintages, for example the lotus Silver design has been reduced from 28,888 to 18,888 coins as has the standard 1oz Silver coin. The 1/2oz Silver coin has dropped from 58,888 to 22,888. The kilogram Gold coin has dropped from a mintage of 18 coins to only 10.

You are able to view and purchase the range at the Royal Canadian Mint's online store.
